Mokihana Aquatics offers free summer membership
The Mokihana Aqautics swimming club will continue to offer free summer team memberships.
Sessions are at 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays at the Kapa‘a pool and the same times on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the newly renovated Waimea pool.
The requirements to join are as follows:
• The swimmer must be able to swim at least 25 yards or the length of the pool, at any stroke, on his stomach.
• Girls must have a one-piece swim suit.

College coaches/staff to hold soccer clinic
The University of California at Irvine’s men’s soccer coach George Kuntz and his staff from the Hawai‘i Youth Soccer Association will hold soccer clinics from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. or 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday to Thursday at Island School.
Sessions are split in halves, $95 for the half day and $150 for a full day of training.
Sessions will include positional training, goalkeeping and shooting techniques.
There will also be a high school camp from 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., on Monday and Tuesday, specifically for incoming freshmen to the senior class. Kuntz will lead the instruction for that.
The camp will be limited to the first 100.

Namolokama hosts Open Water Swim
The Namolokama O’Hanalei Canoe Club will be hosting the 2nd Annual Open Water Swim at Hanalei Pier starting at 9 a.m. on July 26. This community event is for keiki, older youth and adults.
A large turnout is expected and the club stressed the importance of early registration, as there will be a cut-off on the number of participants.

KMRA to hold annual Labor Day races
Kauai Motocross Riders Association will be holding its Annual Labor Day Hare and Hound and Motocross Races on August 30 and 31 at the Wailua Motocross Track. The site for the Hare and Hound race will be announced at a later date.
KMRA also has a race this Sunday and on Sunday, July 27.
