Playing in the 3 G’s Nation 18 and Under program, Tino Ramos led the Gee Unit with 11 points followed by Devone Florence and Donovan Harrison each adding 10 points.
Travis Stine had 15 points to lead the Kalepa Hillsiders to a 52-19 showing over Westside in the second boys game in the non-competitive basketball league.
Brenden Cristobal topped the Westside effort with 7 points followed by Kalen Abihai-Kali and Xavier Guirao each adding 3 points.
Bristi-ann Agu finished with 15 points to lead the Waimea Menehune to a 58-29 showing over the Kamikaze in the only girls game of the night.
Kayla Perez had the hot hand for the Kamikaze with 7 points.
Kawehi Louis Diamond netted 24 points and Lacey Lucas finished with 13 points to lead the Kamikaze to a 58-11 showing over Kaulupono White in the 3 G’s Nation 13 and Under non-competitive basketball games, Monday, in Kalaheo.
Nicolei Banasihan topped the Kaulupono showing with 5 points, two coming in the final frame when the whiteshirts finally broke the double-digit scoring barrier. Kaelyn Kamakele-Aquino, Casey Anacleto and Nicole Palacio each netted a pair.
In the second and third games, Donovan Harrison finished with 25 points to lead the Gee Unit to a 52-16 win over Westside who got 6 points from Christian Garma and 4 points each from Briggs Agu and Dylan Balisacan.
Kameron Perez paced the Lihu‘e boys with 17 points in their 44-22 showing over Papalina in the final Monday night game.
Tysin Gummerus and Trey Aguano paced the Papalina effort with 7 and 5 points, respectively.
The Kamikaze victory comes on the heels of a 32-4 loss at the hands of Gee’s Angels when the 3 G’s Nation 13 and Under league opened Saturday at the Bernice Hundley Gym in Kapa‘a.
In that contest, Reggie McCabe had 9 points with Riana Ralston and Lele Hanie finishing with 8 points apiece for the Angels.
Kawai Calderon and Annie Ballesteros paced the Kamikaze effort with a pair each.
The Angels continued to sweep their Saturday series with a 37-22 win over Kaulupono, led by Mahea Hanie-Grace leading the Angels’ charge with 13 points followed by Lauren Claypool adding 10 points.
Vakeesha Lagazo led the Kaulupono effort with 8 points followed by Arrisa Thronas lending 4 points.
A trio of 18 and Under contests closed off the Saturday series with Team Central besting Westside 37-24 behind Lester Alacar and Austin Simao netting 13 and 10 points, respectively.
Kalen Abihai-Kali and Chris Salvador led the Westside scoring with 9 and 6 points, respectively.
In the second boys’ 18U contest, Duke Pauli finished with 14 points to lead the Warriors to a 47-38 edge over Kalepa Hillsiders who got 10 points each from Preston Keough and John Berales.
Kekoa Prem finished with 10 points for the Warriors in that win.
Kira Nakamura and Destiny Smith each netted a pair in overtime to lead Wailua to a 36-34 edge over Kaulupono in the girls 18 and Under match.
Tori Tuttle finished with high-point honors for Wailua with 14 points followed by Ashlyn Lee and Smith who added 8 and 7 points, respectively.
Shayna Alop and Kathleen Cadiente paced the Kaulupono effort with 8 points apiece followed by Cheyanne Duarte, Kayla Werner and Arrisa Thronas each adding 6 points.
