Arthur Brun did a great job on the microphone at the final game of the Mustang Kaua‘i Section. Pat Baniaga said a blind guy could watch the game from Arthur’s banter.
But beyond being a great umpire and deejay, he’s a great chef, joining Chef Bitos (Robert Gandia) in grilling all those teriyaki chickens at Syngenta Seeds.
Pat said Kaua‘i will have two teams for the Bronco state tournament which starts the Fourth of July weekend in Hanapepe. But before that, Tuesday is the first game of the Bronco Kaua‘i Section at Koloa Ball Park.
If that league is anything like the Mustangs, don’t miss it. Michael Alonzo (he was at flag football Saturday) did, and Ross Kagawa said his wife was there and told him all about it. Peter Rayno said he was wrapped up watching the Lakers disintegrate.
Hats off to David Tao and Harvey Maeda for doing a great job with the annual Father’s Day car show. Tom Clements said he stopped by. You knew it was good because Mark Scribner stopped by to check out the cars and even Ryan Terao’s students stopped by to tell him about astronomy camp.
Finally, aloha to Johnny Michael, who is leaving us for his new station, today. It seemed like only yesterday when he got here.
