Arthur Brun has been busy, working all the Pony baseball games taking place. But he still had time to join Chef Bitos in creating the ono teriyaki chicken plate that is going to help the Westside Falcons.
Jane Garma (she said Scrappy sometimes forgets his real name of Justin) was not going to miss the event, and Cynthia Owen (she has a cheerleader and soccer player like Jane) are getting to be real good at getting these lunches together.
But the real treat (yes, they had mac salad) is the Shirley Sam Fong cake that was a hit when the crew had the American Cancer Society fundraiser so Arthur asked her to make more for this one.
Kudos to Tracy Hughes, Kumi Fisher and all those people who put together the “Sex in the City” YWCA fundraiser. It was on Sunday, but people are still buzzing about it. The big question … Gini Kapali probably engineered the Kukui‘ula Development basket, but where was she? The only thing missing was the red carpet.
With Father’s Day around the corner, go check out coaches Bobby Texeira and Teddy Perreira at the PONY playoff championships starting at 10 a.m. After that, go visit Sharon Gibson at the Nawiliwili Yacht Club for its Father’s Day fishing derby.
Today, it’s time to check out David Tao and Harvey Maeda with all the car people at Kukui Grove in the parking lot between Long’s and Sears.
