Kane‘ohe’s Wilson shoots 5-over 76 at Open

Kane‘ohe’s Dean Wilson is tied for 85th place after shooting 5-over 76 yesterday in the U.S. Open at Torrey Pines.

Wilson parred 13 holes and bogeyed five. His first bogey came on the par 4, fourth hole and the next two came on the sixth and the eighth. Wilson made the turn at 3 over.

Wilson was not in position to break even and went further down the leaderboard with a bogey on the 14th and the 17th.

He will tee off today at 10:52 HST with Kevin Tway and Jason Bohn.

Wilson is coming off a successful run at the St. Jude Championship in Memphis, Tenn. He was tied for the lead at least two times in that championship before falling to 13th on the back stretch.

With one top-10 finish so far this year, Wilson currently sits at 84th on the PGA’s money list. His best finish so far came earlier in the year when he tied for 10th at the Players Championship.
