Geriatrics doctor to give talk Tuesday

The Alzheimer’s Association and county Agency on Elderly Affairs will host Dr. Carol Woodson Tuesday for a talk about geriatrics assessment.

The event will be at 1:30 p.m. at the Pi‘ikoi Building conference rooms A and B.

Woodson specializes in the care of older adults as well as people who take care of older adults.

She developed the Woodson Center for adult wellness, which offers comprehensive geriatrics assessment, and special programs to promote healthy hearts, healthy weight loss and fitness, stress management, behavioral health and aggressive diabetes control for all adults.

The program is especially dedicated to caregiver survival.
