Sanoe Taniguchi-Simbre has a full soccer schedule ahead of her. After helping her team, U12 Ka‘ula Girls, reach a Hawai‘i Youth Soccer Association championship final, the 11-year-old is heading to the Hawai‘i International Cup Tournament on O‘ahu and then on to San Diego to play in the Carlsbad Cup.
Just two weeks ago, she scored two goals for the Westside Falcons in their 6-0 win over Team Motiv-8 in another championship game.
Then for the Ka‘ula Girls, she played in a tough match against the 96 Leahi Premier Girls in the HYSA championship game that finished 0-0 after regulation. After two overtime periods, the two teams were still at a deadlock and the game was decided by penalty kicks where the Leahi girls won 3-2.
Next up is the HIC Tournament Cup during the Fourth of July weekend which will feature a team from New Zealand and has hosted teams from California and Denmark.
