Mokihana Club raises $7K for nursing program
Nursing students at Kaua’i Community College were the real winners of the 6th annual Mokihana Club’s Golf Scramble on April 12.
Seventy-one women in 18 teams teed off to a shotgun start at the Marriott’s Kaua’i Lagoons Golf Course for a day of competitive fun that raised $7,000 for KCC’s nursing students.
Local businesses generously supported the event. Additional donations raised the total amount given by the club for nursing scholarships this year to $9,000.
In the six years since the beginning of the annual golf scramble, the club has raised $37,000 for nursing scholarships at KCC.
