‘Yellow cards’ in the mail

In preparation for the 2008 Primary and General Elections, scheduled for Sept. 20 and Nov. 4, respectively, postcards were mailed Monday to voters with voting information.

The county asks voters to review the information, including the polling place assignment.

Beginning with the Primary, the following polling places will no longer be used for voting:

• St. Catherine’s Parish Hall.

• Kaua‘i High School Cafeteria.

• Kalaheo Elementary School’s Kato Gym.

• ‘Ele‘ele Elementary School Cafeteria.

Voters formerly assigned to the above polling places must vote at the new polling place noted on their yellow card.

Voters who registered after April 22 will still be eligible to vote in the upcoming elections but will receive a “yellow card” at a later date. Individuals interested in voting in the upcoming Primary Election must be registered by Aug. 21.
