Bridge club results

Members of and visitors to the North Shore and Poalua Duplicate Bridge Clubs play at 9 a.m. every Thursday at Sun Village behind Wilcox Memorial Hospital.

This is the oldest bridge club on the island and visitors are always welcome to play.

Results for Thursday’s five-table game are: First, Pat Burgess and Loukas Fytros; Second, Al and Patty Ficker; Third, Lil Riley and Deborah Byrnes.

The Sunrise Club plays at 9 a.m. each Thursday at the new Princeville Community Center in Princeville. The club welcomes North Shore Visitors and part time vacationers. For playing partners or information, call Lolita at 826-6805.

Results for Thursday’s five table, 20-player sanctioned event are: First, Loring Harkness and Francine Donahue; Second, Glenda Lewis and Ilse Rothschild.

The Sunset Club plays each Saturday (Open Game) at 1 p.m. at the Community Building in Princeville across from the library.

This long-established club is convenient and conducts friendly and competitive play for all island players.

Results for the Saturday, 28-player, seven-table sanctioned event are: North/South — First, Judy and RC Smith; Second, Walter and Glenda Lewis.

East/West — First, Colonel and Mrs. Bill Carroll; Second, Sheila Honeywell and Ilse Rothschild.

Members of the Ka Haku o Hawaii Bridge Club play the second and fourth Mondays of every month.

The games start promptly at 9 a.m. and visitors are especially welcome.

The club members made a major donation to Kauai Food Bank to thank Hanalei Bay Resort for hosting the games.
