Volunteer Legal Services Hawai‘i is offering Neighborhood Legal Clinics on a bi-monthly basis on Kaua‘i. The clinics are comprised of half-hour advice/consultation sessions with a volunteer attorney encompassing all areas of the law. All low-income individuals and families are eligible for legal services offered through the Neighborhood Legal Clinics.
Volunteer attorneys handle family law matters such as paternity and custody, guardianship, divorce, adoption and general law issues such as consumer issues, contracts and landlord/tenant problems by providing advice and consultation. A $10 processing fee is charged for the advice/consultation sessions, which are available to income-eligible individuals by appointment only.
To make an appointment or for more information, call Volunteer Legal Services Hawai‘i at 800-839-5200.
