Volunteer Legal Services Hawai‘i is offering Neighborhood Legal Clinics on a bi-monthly basis on Kaua‘i. The clinics are comprised of half-hour advice/consultation sessions with a volunteer attorney encompassing all areas of the law. All low-income individuals and families are eligible for legal services offered through the Neighborhood Legal Clinics.
Volunteer attorneys handle family law matters such as paternity and custody, guardianship, divorce, adoption and general law issues such as consumer issues, contracts and landlord/tenant problems by providing advice and consultation. A $10 processing fee is charged for the advice/consultation sessions, which are available to income-eligible individuals by appointment only.

VLSH, a private nonprofit organization established in 1981 to serve low-income clients, also offers its services in Honolulu, Waimanalo, and Waipahu on O‘ahu, in Kona and Hilo on the Big Island and in Wailuku, Maui.
VLSH also offers pro bono referral to volunteer attorneys, sponsors community based projects to Hawai‘i residents and clinics throughout many of the transitional and homeless shelters on O‘ahu.
