Happy birthday to Judy Lenthall who celebrated her special day on St. Patrick’s Day. She was joined by Kelvin Moniz, Analynn Flores, Paul Douglass and Tom Lodico when they went to receive a Kaua‘i Food Bank proclamation celebrating April to be Kaua‘i Food Bank Drive month … look for your bags in an upcoming issue of TGI.
Kelvin was busy since he was refereeing the county’s 11 and Under girls game with Clyde Vito, Monday. Coach Sean Andrade was wrapping up practice in anticipation of Papalina’s match against Hanakila. But Papalina won’t have the services of Peterson Lahip who is in Las Vegas.
Ariel Lahip was at the game and said he’s waiting to go to Honolulu with coach Peter Rayno and the Ho‘ouila boys next week…if he gets lucky, he might even catch some of the FIRST Robotics competition over there.
More birthday celebrations as Carolyn Ganusan of the Kaulupono Girls got to go to Honolulu for her birthday (it’s Spring Break!) so got to miss out on the Monday night game. That little tidbit came courtesy of Jenaiah Banasihan, Taylor Gaspar who celebrated her birthday earlier, and Kaelyn Aquino-Kamakele. Nicolei Banasihan was at the game, but had to keep stats Monday night, and Kori Sakamoto worked all day at Lappert’s in Koloa so could come to the game to just enjoy.
Krystal Ijima was also enjoying Spring Break and came to watch sister Sariah playing for coach Kevin Hanano and the Kamikaze Red.
Krystal, who plays for Kaua‘i High will be out on the field today against Waimea High School at the Waimea Canyon Park starting at 5:30 p.m.
