A free event for families — thousands of candy-filled eggs, Easter show, prize drawings, games, a visit from the Easter Bunny and much, much more. Following are times and locations: 10 a.m. tomorrow, Vidinha Soccer Field, Lihu‘e; 10 a.m. March 21 Wa‘ioli Soccer Field, Hanalei; 10 a.m. March 22 Hanapepe Football Stadium.

Good Friday Cross-walk today
U-turn for Christ Kaua‘i and all Kaua‘i Christian school clubs invite anyone on the island to join in the Annual Good Friday Cross-walk to celebrate Christ. Meet at the ResortQuest (Marriott) in Kapa‘a at 10:45 a.m. The Cross will be walked between 11 a.m. and noon and continues to Kapa‘a Beach Park for a free concert. Free bus transportation back to your vehicle.

9:30 a.m. Tomorrow and Sun., Jehovah’s Witnesses invite all to “Do All Things For God’s Glory”
How do we glorify God? The 2008 circuit assembly program of Jehovah’s Witnesses will provide answers to these questions at Kaua‘i War Memorial Convention Hall at 9:30 a.m. Admission to the convention is free.
District overseer Gary Wong will speak on the subjects “Why Give God Glory?” and “Be Exemplary in Meeting God’s Requirements.” He will give the public discourse, “Who Are the People Who Glorify God?,” and the closing talk, “Unitedly Glorifying God Worldwide.” The circuit overseer Jeffrey Maielua, will speak on the themes “Take Delight in Reflecting God’s Glory,” and “Remain ‘Firmly Set in the Truth.”
Another Bible discussion will be entitled “Glorifying God in All Aspects of Our Life,” and will explore the depth of meaning in the inspired words found at 1 Corinthians 10:31.

Episcopal Church in Lihu‘e
The services feature a palm procession with guitarists John Gilleran, Therese Barich, and Amy Hill. A dramatic reading of “The Passion” features local actors Eric Devlin, Morgan Liddell, and Dennis McGraw and percussionist Aki Conquest. Karen Dickinson will sing a response. The Psalm will be chanted by local favorite Sandy Smith. Services are tomorrow at 5:30 p.m. and Sunday at 8 a.m. and 10 a.m.
4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday workshop “How To Get Out of Debt in 5-7 Years” at the Aloha Church
The Aloha Church will host this workshop with Bob Marette. Marette is a financial advisor in the Denver area and has spoken at many churches around the country. His daily radio program, “Out of Debt with Bob Marette” can be heard along the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains. His heart is to get people free from the bondage of debt.
Bring a list of your debts and a calculator. You will leave knowing when you will be debtfree. There is no cost for this workshop. All attendees are asked to bring two cans of food for a local food ministry. Please call 645-0111.
7 p.m. Thursday, Purim Party sponsored by Chabad of Kaua‘i
Celebrate Purim in Japanese-Jewish style with Chabad of Kaua‘i at Kapa‘a Public Library conference room. The Megilla, the Story of Esther, will be read, accompanied by a slide show. Dress the kids in costume. Enjoy the music and other entertainment. Come for kosher sushi and snacks. Learn how to do origami with a Jewish twist. Adults and children, $5 cover charge each.

Koloa Union Church
The Chancel Choir at Koloa Union Church will present a Tenebrae service with excerpts from “The Dark Hours” by Lani Smith. “Tenebrae” is a name for the age-old Matins and Lauds service of Thursday, Friday and Saturday of Holy Week.
Maundy Thursday services are at 5 p.m. Thursday and open with an adult study of “Hallelujah, The Bible and Handel’s Messiah” followed by a soup and bread supper at 6 p.m. The Tenebrae service will follow at 7 p.m. in the church sanctuary.
