Registration for a golf tournament to help the Korean War Veterans Association, Kaua‘i Chapter, is now being accepted.
Royce Ebesu, the KWVA President, and chair for the golf tournament, said the funds will be used to help the KWVA, Kaua‘i Chapter host the 55th anniversary of the Korean War Armistice state reunion scheduled for later in July.
Currently, supporters of the KWVA can help by sponsoring a tee, contributing a prize for the tournament, making a monetary contribution, or simply by signing up to be a player.
The KWVA, Kaua‘i Chapter golf tournament will be played on May 24 at the Wailua Golf Course.
Registration begins at 6 a.m. with a shotgun start going off at 7 a.m. for the individual medal play tournament.
Maximum handicap for men is 30 and for women is 36 determined as of April 1.
Entry fee for the tournament is $75 per player and includes a cart, green fees and the awards luncheon following the tournament.
For those who prefer to attend only the luncheon which will be held at the Kaua‘i Veterans Center in Lihu‘e, tickets are available at $10 per person.
Additional lucky number prizes including a Las Vegas trip and other prizes are available for a $2 donation for each ticket.
