Free information workshops on distance learning at KCC
UH West O‘ahu offers free information workshops on distance learning at the University Center at KCC.
Prospective students will learn how to apply for distance learning programs and financial aid for degrees or certificates offered by UH West O’ahu through the University Center at Kaua’i Community College. The University Center serves as a liaison with UH West O’ahu in offering bachelor’s degrees and certificate programs to Kaua’i residents.
Bachelor of Arts degree program information will be offered for the following majors:
• Accounting
• Early Childhood Education
• General Business Administration
• Health Care Administration
• Political Science
• Social Sciences n Applied Track
Information will be offered for the following certificate programs:
• Disaster Preparedness and Emergency Management
• Health Care Administration
• Substance Abuse and Addictions Studies

East Kaua‘i Soil and Water Conservation District offers $1,500 in scholarships
for residents of Kaua‘i
Scholarship preference will be to graduating high school seniors.
Applications from present college students will also be considered if there are insufficient qualified high school applications. Applicants must major in a field of study related to conservation, but not limited to soil, water and energy. Majors could be in agronomy, soils, horticulture, environmental science, etc.
Scholarships will be awarded on the basis of scholastic achievement and conservation related activities in the school and community. Two letters of reference from persons other than relatives giving judgment on the applicant’s personal qualities, achievements, abilities or other activities. Student’s transcript must accompany the application form.
