Mens soccer opens Sunday
The Kaua‘i Mens Soccer league will open its 2008 season this Sunday at Vidinha Stadium.
According to Sue Strickland of the KMSL, all of the games for this season will be played at Vidinha Stadium with no admission charged to view the competition.
At 3 p.m., Hanalei will open the season against the Afterburners followed by Kryptonite going against Cane Fire starting at 5:30 p.m.
Strickland said there are still openings available for interested players, and the league is also looking for certified referees.

County offers Spring Break Program
Kaua‘i County officials announced that registration for the Spring Break Program is scheduled for Monday, March 10.
Registration will take place 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the following neighborhood centers: Kapa‘a, Kalaheo and Lihu‘e.
The program runs from March 17 to 28 and is open to keiki ages 5 to 11 years old.
The following holidays will be observed: March 21, Good Friday and March 26, Prince Kuhio Day.
The cost of enrollment is $30 per child. Only checks or money orders will be accepted. Checks should be made payable to the Director of Finance.
If additional support or an auxiliary aid is required for a child to participate, contact Melanie Okamoto at 241-4462 or mokamoto@kauai.gov, at least seven business days before the program begins.
