Janessa Grady of Kaua‘i High School was recently named to the First Team, All-Tournament Team of the Seabury Hall 14th Annual Wahine Classic Basketball Tournament, on Maui.
Eight teams, including the Red Raiders and the Warriors of Kapa‘a High School, took part in the tournament where Kaua‘i finished 1-3, dropping its opener to King Kekaulike, 51-37.
The Red Raiders bounced back for a victory over Ka‘u of the Big Island, 48-32, but dropped its final game to Kapa‘a, 54-41.
Other players making the First Team, All-Tournament squad include Yacine Meyer of Seabury Hall, Mykel Love of King Kekaulike, Chynna Ramelb and Jazmine Corpuz of Maui High and Grady.
Sarah Tangalin of Kapa‘a was named to the Second Team and Jaimee Mariano of Kaua‘i was named as one of the four 3-point shot leaders.
Kapa‘a High School will open the Kaua‘i Interscholastic Federation girls basketball season on Dec. 27 by hosting Kapa‘a.
