Go to the cool hills of Koke‘e to enjoy a wreath-making workshop held annually by Hui o Laka — Koke‘e Natural History Museum.
Kokee Museum volunteers Linda Oshiro and Wai Kuapahi, and Executive Director Marsha Erickson will be on hand to teach the workshop on Dec. 8. The workshop is a membership and CCC Camp renovation drive. The cost is $15. Meet at the front porch of the Kokee Natural History Museum in Koke‘e at 10 a.m. to go into the forest to cut the fragrant cypress and redwood limbs. Then return to the CCC Camp for lunch and wreath making will begin. Wear long pants and covered shoes and bring lunch, clippers, light rain gear, water and anything desired to decorate a wreath.
