Happy Camper
Lei Nakayama was still standing after the Thanksgiving rush on pies, and the Hawai‘i WAC win Friday was definitely a help.
David Bice of FM97 was doing a great job emceeing the Kaua‘i Christmas Parade, and even got a banana from Ron Wiley. Now, with that kind of cooperation, how about a media event at an IHOP (when we get one)?
Harvey Maeda had all the classic cars (and the monster truck!) on hand, and Cheyson Kaluahine got to ride a fancy blue ATV. Even Santa came on an three-wheeler.
David Bukoski got to chauffeur Sparky atop a JetSki and Owen Tango said this is the first time in a long time he was not driving.
Meanwhile, Happy (the Clown) Wakuta was enjoying the All Saints craft fair which got some help from “condo girl” Caylie Shiramizu who was visiting from Honolulu.
Janice and Leonard Ringor were doing the circuit, starting at Wilcox Elementary and the Kaua‘i Handworks fair and ending at the All Saints fair. OK, so the big question is where is this weekend’s fair?
Gail Konishi said they have the Chiefess Kamakahelei Middle School one coming up Dec. 14 and 15 (Phyllis Andrade said she’ll be there!), and on Dec. 7, a lot of the crafters said they’ll be at the Kaua‘i Museum Christmas craft fair.
Tom Tannery of the YMCA of Kaua‘i (he was helping with the Kalaheo School Sunshine Express train) said “coach” Wayne Taniguchi is in the middle of digging “The Hole” which will eventually become a swimming pool. Maybe it’s time to check out the digging.
