The 2007 Atlanta-Kauai Team Challenge will take place today and tomorrow at the Wailua Municipal Golf Course.
The challenge will be played in a two-day, 36-hole Ryder Cup format competition. Spectators are welcomed (walking only).
Team Kaua‘i players and designated host families have graciously opened their homes for the visiting Team Atlanta.
This tournament was started by lifelong friends and counterparts, former Atlanta Junior Golf Executive Director Merilee Giddings and President Kaua‘i Junior Golf Association and Hawai‘i State Junior Golf Association Mary Bea Porter King.
The event was revived by Team Kaua‘i’s travel to Atlanta in October 2006 and provides a venue for a unique cultural exchange generating life-long memories and friendships.
The challenge moves to Atlanta next year.
