Chang, Johnson win Week 10
I had the absolute worst week ever for the Football Frenzy. With my support of the N.Y. Giants and the Indianapolis Colts, I finished 3-10. What was that? On top of that, the San Francisco 49ers got blown out. The only thing good about that game was that former University of Hawai‘i football player Jeff Ulbrich had a big game with six tackles.
We have to hand it to Dickie Chang. Chang likes to root for the underdog and because of that, he won Week 10 at 9-4. David Bice came in second with 7-6. Ron Wiley was 5-8.
Joining us on the panel is Lorry Duterte. Maybe he did right by being the only panelist to pick Boston College to win.
Steve Johnson of Lihu‘e beat us all last week by properly predicting 10 games.
Our key matchup for this week falls on Saturday when Kaua‘i High School hosts Roosevelt High School for the first round of the state championships. Kaua‘i has a winning record for the first round against O‘ahu schools and should do just fine.
In other football talk, TGI is adding a new feature that will run every Friday called “Fantasy 911.”
Roy Skaggs of Lihu‘e, formerly of New Orleans, has been playing fantasy football for 14 years and is a regular when it comes to fantasy message board postings.
Skaggs can’t help in picking the games for Football Frenzy, but he wants to help with your fantasy roster. Each week, Skaggs will provide information on who to start and who to bench to get the best from your players.
What will we do when football seaon ends?
