Augie Tulba, Hawai‘i’s champion of comedy brings the hit sensation that sold out Honolulu’s Blaisdell Arena to Kaua‘i. “The Main Event,” stars Augie T with Timmy Mattos and Jose Dynamite and musical guest Milani.
Two time Na Hoku Hano Hano award winner, Augie Tulba, was voted funniest comic in Hawai‘i by the Honolulu Star-Bulletin/Midweek and voted favorite comedian by the Honolulu Weekly.
As well as heard daily on Kaua‘i’s 95.9 “The Surf,” Augie launched his own television variety show, “The Augie Show” on OC16.
He also launched the “Speak the Dream Foundation,” a scholarship program to help underprivileged children with a dream of a higher education. Keiki and Ohana Invited to Celebrate Halloween at the National Tropical Botanical Garden
LAWAI — The National Tropical Botanical Garden and the Hawai‘i Invasive Species Council are teaming up to provide spooky and educational festivities to children and their families in celebration of Halloween.
The first ever Ghoulish Goblin Garden Bash will be held from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. tomorrow at NTBG’s South Shore Visitors Center (4424 Lawai Road, Poipu) across from Spouting Horn. The bash is open to keiki ages 6 to 10 and their ‘ohana. Dress up like a ghoul or goblin for a chance to win a special prize.
During the free event families can take part in a series of interactive interpretive stations:
• Snakes in the Forest: Search for the hidden invasive snakes.
• Halloween Senses: A hands on activity with squishy and gooey things from nature
• ‘Aina Trick or Treat: Identify native and invasive species
• Zelda the Good Witch: Meet Zelda the Good Witch and her friendly native friends: Happy-faced spider, Hawaiian crow and Pueo
• Mask Making: Design your own creative mask
• Story Telling: Gather for spooky and mysterious tales from Hawai‘i ’s natural history
Education Program Coordinator Stefani Gee says, “We hope to see many little ghouls and goblins creeping around the Garden.” The bash will end with a candy hunt on the grounds. Zonta Halloween Costume Party Saturday helps benefit the YWCA
The Zonta Club of Hanalei Foundation will hold its first Halloween Costume Party on tomorrow at the Princeville Ballroom. This year’s theme, “Hollywood then and now,” is the opportunity to dress-up as a favorite starlet or leading man, and have a chance to bid on some valuable prizes. Hawaiian music and hula provided by Kaua‘i’s own Lady Ipo Kahaunaele-Ferreira and friends.
From 6:30 p.m. to midnight: Dinner, dancing to the Rumbletones, live auction with Michele Rundgren, fortunetellers, mystics, and contests. The event will help benefit the YWCA and scholarships for young women.
Auctioned items include: a two-night stay in the presidential suite at the Princeville Resort and dinner; dinner with a personal chef for five couples with Icing on the Cake; Big Island accommodations with tickets to the Na Hoku Hanohano awards; a week at the Marriott; jewelry from Savage Pearl.

Entertainment, food and fun for the whole family. A variety of Christian churches from O‘ahu and across the island will be performing. There will be hula with Na Wahine Hula Ho‘ano O Kaua‘i, live hip-hop, contemporary Christian music, as well as speakers. Some of the bands in the lineup include: Heaven Sent, Michael Ruff & Latin Worship Center, Jeremy Hartshom and Ed Ka‘ahea. All are welcome to take the stage to sing or dance.
