Bernadette Aken, of Kapa‘a, died Oct. 3, 2007, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital, at the age of 48.
Born May 25, 1959, in Honolulu, she was a PBX operator for Hilton.
She is survived by son Jonah (Natasha White) Cummings of Kapa‘a; daughters Nohelani (Keola) Milbourne of Kaneohe, and Sunshine (Ansen Malana-Gomes) Cummings of Kapa‘a; mother Davydean Aken of Kalihi; sisters Sandy (Lyle) Garcia of Honolulu, Dale Williams of San Francisco; Terry (Ben) Tabiolo of ‘Ewa and Roxanne (William) Badua of ‘Ewa; grandsons Jhance, Jhencen Kalahikiola, and Makoa; granddaughters Puakeahulananii Kala; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father James Aken.
Friends may visit with the family from1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 14, at Coconuts Restaurant, where services will be at 4 p.m.
Aloha attire is suggested. Arrangements are being handled by Borthwick Kauai Mortuary.
