This is an opportunity to see if the plan reflects your ideas for a sustainable future for Kaua‘i and Hawai‘i. Interested residents can choose one of two meeting dates and locations to share comments and ideas.
The first meeting will be from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, at Kapa‘a Middle School cafeteria at 4867 Olohena Road in Kapa‘a. The second will be from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Kauai War Memorial Convention Hall, 4192 Hardy Street in Lihu‘e.
Organizers of the meeting encourage that those planning to attend download and read the draft Hawai‘i 2050 Sustainability Plan before the meeting. The plan can be found at www.hawaii2050.org. The meeting will include a brief overview of the draft plan and breakout groups to discuss it, the release states.
Those planning to attend should RSVP to Kaua‘i Planning & Action Alliance at 632-2005 or kpaa@kauainetwork.org and indicate which meeting you will be attending along with your name, e-mail and phone number.
