With the win, Westside Pride maintains their lead in the U8 standings with a 3-0-0 record for 9 points.
Kari Correa scored the sole goal for High Maintenance, which is still looking for its first season win.
In addition to Pellin, Westside Pride had scores from Vincent Altomare, Pelenalako Kamala, Ian Gilbert Malabe and Ian Pennes.
Following the Pride, the Ha‘aheo Boys and Ha‘aheo Teeney Wahine are tied at 2-1-0 records for 6 points apiece. The Kapa‘a Blaze and Westside Falcons follow with another deadlock at 1-2-0 for 3 points, followed by High Maintenance at 0-3-0 in the U8 standings.
The Ha‘aheo Boys ended in their tie for second place by edging the Ha‘aheo TW, 1-0 in the second U8 contest while the Westside Falcons went on to shut down the Kapa‘a Blaze, 2-0.
Ha‘aheo Kaua‘i got goals from Caitlyn Rapozo and Machaela Rapozo as they shut down the GIFC-14, 2-0 in the first of two games they played in the U14 division. The pink-shirt defense was solid, not allowing a single goal as Ha‘aheo Kaua‘i blanked the GIFC-13, 4-0 in its second contest of the day.
With the victories, Ha‘aheo Kaua‘i tops the standings in the GU-14 division with a 3-0-0 standing and 9 points. GIFC-14 follows at 1-1-0 for 3 points while the GIFC-13 is looking for its first win at 0-3-0.
Austin Chicoine netted a hat trick to lead the Westside United to an 8-1 victory over the Westside Falcons in the BU-14 contest.
That win gives the Westside United a 2-1-0 standing for 6 points, second place in the BU-14 division under the GIFC-Cougars who are 3-0-0 with 9 points. The Westside Falcons and Eastside Galaxy are 0-2-1 with a point each.
Joining Chicoine, Bryson Cayaban, Derek Fisher, Ryan Perez, Dylan Snyder and Mason Vegas put scores on the board for Westside United.
Caleb Licke kept the Westside Falcons from being blanked.
The GIFC-Cougars kept its undefeated streak going with a 5-3 win over the Eastside Galaxy in the second BU-14 contest of the day.
The Westside Falcons 10 and Tunda Girls battled to a 0-0 tie in the first of two games played in the U-10 division while the Westside Falcons 9 were a 4-0 winner over the Kaua‘i Sparks.
Despite the tie, the Westside Falcons 10 control the lead in the U-10 division with a 2-0-1 record for 7 points followed by the Westside Falcons 9 at 2-1-0 and 6 points.
The Tunda Girls sport a 1-1-1 record for 4 points and the Kaua‘i Sparks at 0-3-0.
The Hawaiian Heat blanked the Panthers, 4-0 in the first of three contests waged in the U-12 division.
That was followed by the Westside Falcons flying over the KSC-Blazing Angels, 4-1, and the Lihu‘e Elements edging the Panthers, 4-3, that loss giving the Panthers a dual loss in its double-header.
With its victory, the Hawaiian Heat improves to 2-0-1 and 7 points to lead the U-12 division standings. The Westside Falcons are close behind at 2-0-0 and 6 points followed by the KSC-Blazing Angels at 1-1-1 and 4 points. The Lihu‘e Elements improved to 1-2-0 and 3 points while the Panthers are still looking for their first win at 0-3-0.
The public is invited to view the games which are played each Sunday at the North Vidinha soccer fields starting at 11:30 a.m.
