Kaua‘i homeowners will soon have a new showroom at Kukui Grove shopping center in Lihu‘e to see how it may be possible to transform their kitchens with custom cabinets and luxury appliances.
Sub-Zero/Wolf products will be available at American Cabinetry’s new 1,400-square-foot store when it opens Oct. 6 on the Garden Island.
“The company is continuing to strengthen their brand on island by recognizing that our economy has residents and businesses interested in having a product of this quality,” Kaua‘i Chamber of Commerce President Randy Francisco said. “For me, part of the Kaua‘i experience is entertaining and dining with friends and family at home.”
American Cabinetry’s new showroom signifies the first retail establishment dedicated to selling top-of-the-line appliances and custom-designed cabinetry on the island, a news release states.
“Given the kind of houses we now have, I think people want something special and customized that reflects their personality,” said Francisco, who was involved with culinary products on O‘ahu. “On Kaua‘i, the food experience is very much alive — from back home garage events and barbecues to something more special.”
American Cabinetry, in partnership with Sub-Zero/Wolf, decided to open on Kaua‘i as their first neighbor island store because of outstanding potential for growth, American Cabinetry Sales Consultant Wallace J. Castillo said.
“Sub-Zero and Wolf appliances have been sold on Kaua‘i for many years, and the demand for the product grew larger every year,” he said. “With multiple custom new home projects that are scheduled to be built on Kaua‘i and the growing number of remodeling projects, Kaua‘i was an excellent fit for American Cabinetry.”
The new showroom at Kukui Grove will feature a one-bedroom suite design. Clients can browse various parts of a home and visualize how custom cabinetry can be utilized.
“Anyone looking to remodel their home should stop in and see what we have to offer,” Castillo added.
Francisco said it is a good sign when residents here seek good things.
“It’s one of the wonderful changes in our economy… people seeking quality products,” he said.
Wayne Bouille started American Cabinetry in 1978 on O‘ahu,
Sub-Zero added distribution and service of the Wolf line in 1999.
American Cabinetry will hold a celebration Oct. 6 at Kukui Grove with a live audio feed and catering provided by Kaua‘i Bakery.
The Kaua‘i store will be open seven days a week. Hours will be 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 9:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday; 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday; and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.
