The Kaua‘i Chamber of Commerce recently promoted Carol Texeira to vice president of operations.
Texeira, who was described by chamber President Randall Francisco as the “heart and soul” of the organization, has been with the chamber for eight years.
She oversees the chamber board of directors, finance, government affairs and events and activities committees.
“Carol’s promotion to vice president is a recognition by the chamber executive committee and board of her dedication, commitment and service to the members and business community of Kaua‘i,” Francisco said.
Joann Sales, a Kaua‘i High School graduate, was named executive assistant and will oversee membership and communications as well as assist with the daily operations.
Francisco noted that Sales’ addition to the chamber team allows the organization to continue providing its services, the latest of which is its updated Web site.
The Kaua‘i Chamber of Commerce is a nonprofit organization that serves the island’s business community. Its membership includes more than 650 business and professional men and women representing 450 Kaua‘i firms. For more information, visit www.kauaichamber.org.
