Joseph Farias Jr.
Joseph Farias Jr., of Lawa‘i, died Aug. 26, 2007, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at the age of 83.
Born Dec. 23, 1923, in Hawai‘i, he was a retired supervisor for the state of Hawai‘i Harbors Division.
He is survived by his wife Ethel Farias; daughter Joanne (George) Coates; sons Eugene (Jodi) Farias and Elroy (Darlene) Farias; one brother; five sisters; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family from 9 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 1, at Holy Cross Church, where a celebration of Joseph’s life will be at 10 a.m. Inurnment will follow at Kauai Veterans Cemetery in Hanapepe.
Aloha attire is suggested. Arrangements are being handled by Borthwick Kauai Mortuary.
Juliet Arzadon
Juliet Arzadon, of Kapa‘a, died Aug. 26, 2007, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at the age of 43.
Born June 4, 1964, in Lihu‘e, she was a prep cook for Tropical Burgers.
She is survived by her husband Edwin Acob of Kapa‘a; daughters Tasha Acob and Natalya Acob, both of Kapa‘a; son Gavin Acob of Kapa‘a; mother Ester Arzadon of Kapa‘a; sister Karen Arzadon of Kapa‘a; brothers David Arzadon of Kapa‘a and Stuart Arzadon of Honolulu; in-laws Eliseo and Denona Acob of Kapa‘a; nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit with the family from 8 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 1, at Lihu‘e Christian Church, where services will be at 10 a.m. Burial to follow at Lihu‘e Cemetery. Casual attire is suggested. Arrangements are being handled by Borthwick Kauai Mortuary.
Genoveva B. Pasion
Genoveva B. Pasion, of Lihu‘e, died Aug. 27, 2007, at Wilcox Hospital at the age of 88.
Born May 1, 1919, in the Philippines, she was a laborer.
She is survived by sons Art (Cherry) Pasion and Francis (Trudy) Pasion; daughters Bett (Robert) Leonilo, Connie (Mercelo) Fernandez, Delina Sagucio, Eliros (Bernard) Reyes; and nine grandchildren.
Family and friends may call from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday, Sept. 3, at Borthwick Mortuary in Koloa and again from 8 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 4, at Immaculate Conception Church where Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Burial to follow at Kalapaki Bay Memorial Park Cemetery.
