This year’s Kaua‘i County Farm Bureau Fair was dedicated Thursday to former state representative Ezra Kanoho for his support of island farmers. Kanoho was amused to learn that his name means ‘the Helper’ according to Kahu Wayne Vidinha who did the honor sat the dedication ceremony at the fair.
Throngs of fairgoers flocked to the Kaua‘i County Farm Bureau fair Thursday and Friday. Among the highlights of the first night were the semi-finals of the Kaua‘i Idol, livestock shows, bonsai, demonstrations and more. The keiki talent show amd Kaua‘i Idol finals will be staged tonight along with the E.K. Fernandez midway, commercial and nonprofit booths, Home Show, floral and produce exhibits and competitions.
