Members of the Kapa‘a High School Class of 1975 celebrated their 50th birthday reunion with a gala at the Wailua Marina Restaurant on Aug. 4.
Classmates from Kaua‘i, the neighbor islands, Texas and Washington attended. They played games, won prizes, pursued trivia answers and danced the night away to the music of the ‘70s.
A special tribute was dedicated to the memory of several classmates who passed away: Kurt Arashiro, Diana Arruda, Clayton Bridges, George Inanod, Donald Gladman, Kirk Kapuy, Bryan Maglinti, Jeannie Miyashiro, Pohaku Nishimitsu, Peter Rivera and Heather Woodward.
Classmates sent a big mahalo to the following businesses, friends and classmates for donating prizes, pupus and money for the reunion: Wal-Mart, Pizzeta, Hawaiian Airlines, Royal Hawaiian Movers Inc., Kauai Products Fair vendors, Island Soap and Candles, Paradise Groundscare, Party Sushi, Jennis Christian, Richard Fukushima, Bruce Vidinha, Donna Ragsac, Melanie Zaima-Higashi, Teresita Kaluahine, Sonia Nakano and Jan Alalem.

The final gathering of the reunion weekend was a celebration at Lydgate Park, which was open to friends and family.
