A senior piano recital given by two local students of Lois J. Ricciardi Piano Studios will be held tomorrow, at 7 p.m. at Lihu‘e Parish Hall.
Dianna Cowern, graduate of Island School, and Alyssa Launder, early graduate as a GED student, will be performing works by Chopin, Mozart, Beethoven, as well as more contemporary works by Gillock, Alexander and O’Hearn. In addition to solo performances will be both duet and piano duo music.
Dianna, who has also studied voice, will sing, and Alyssa will be performing an original composition.
Dianna Cowern will be attending Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, Mass., majoring in physics. Alyssa Launder will be attending Kaua‘i Community College and continuing her studies of music, as well as pursuing her interests in photography and design. She is also looking towards a possible missions trip.
Both girls have been very active in the community. They have given piano performances both on Kaua‘i and Honolulu and will present a very interesting program.
The public is invited to this special recital and admission is free.
