Teddy bears dressed in original, hand-crafted fashions will be the subject of a special craft contest at this year’s Kaua‘i County Farm Bureau Fair.

According to a press release from the University of Hawai‘i Cooperative Extension Service, commercially dressed bears, or kits will not be allowed.
The final height limit, sitting or standing, should not exceed 18 inches.
Winning bears will earn its owner a blue, red or white ribbon. A special $50 award will be presented to the most fashionable bear of the bunch.
Entries will be accepted on Aug. 23, the opening day of the farm fair, between 9 a.m. and noon at the Home Show Exhibit area.
This year’s farm fair will run from Aug. 23-26.
Copies of the Home Show information and rules can be obtained at the UH Cooperative Extension Service office located in Room 210 in the state building in Lihu‘e.
