Wanda Shibata was wrapping up stuff at the Young Brothers office and called, but the view from the bulk sugar area was much better.
Therese Jasper said she saw the whole thing from her balcony and was one of the first 9-1-1 callers. She’s asking people to be more careful because a few days earlier, she called in another fire close to the Puakea Golf Course .. .definitely good advice considering how dry things are.
Mahalo to Jonah Stein for having the news sense to call dad Richard when his family saw the smoke while on their afternoon constitutional.
