WAIPIO — The Lihu‘e Baseball League’s Mustang Division All-Stars are ranked as the top seed going into the Baseball in Paradise champion round starting tomorrow at the Central O‘ahu Regional Park on O‘ahu. The All-Stars remain undefeated going into the round.
WAIPIO — The Lihu‘e Baseball League’s Mustang Division All-Stars are ranked as the top seed going into the Baseball in Paradise champion round starting tomorrow at the Central O‘ahu Regional Park on O‘ahu. The All-Stars remain undefeated going into the round.
Since the tournament began with pool play last Saturday, the team of 9 to 11 year olds have gone uncontested. The team first beat the Mililani Warriors 7-3, Saturday. The All-Stars played a double header on Sunday, defeating the Molokai Keiki Kanes 12-1, then the PH-Hickam Patriots 13-0.
Yesterday, they defeated the Kaneohe Tigers 15-0. The only other team to go undefeated is the Maui Phillies. They received the second-place ranking yesterday.
The championship games start tomorrow. The Phillies with play third-seeded Mililani Warriors at 2 p.m., while Lihu‘e will play at 4:30 p.m. Their opponent has yet to be announced.
This is the same baseball team that played in the Mustang Division state tournament on O‘ahu last month. This tournament is being put on by the Kids International Diamond Sports incorporation.
