Nobumatsu ‘Nobu’ Kobashigawa
Nobumatsu “Nobu” Kobashigawa of Kekaha, Kauai, died on June 4, 2007, at the Kauai Veterans Memorial Hospital at the age of 93.
Born in Kekaha, Kauai, on Oct. 28, 1913, he was a retired electrician with Kekaha Sugar Company.
He is survived by three sons: Barry N. Kobashigawa of Kekaha; Jerry T. (Cherry) Kobashigawa of California; and Alvin K. Kobashigawa of Kekaha.
He also is survived by daughter, Jean (Larry) Rosenow of Kansas; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three brothers, Matsukichi “Jack” (Lois) Kobashigawa of Kekaha, Matsusuki “Jeep” Kobashigawa of Honolulu, and Shigenobu “Shige” (Gladys) Kobashibawa of Koloa; sister-in-law, Sayoko Kobashigawa of Honolulu; two brothers-in-law, Hideshi Hirata of Honolulu and Albert (Kiyomi) Momohara of Washington; sister-in-law, Sayoko Kobashigawa of Honolulu; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit with the family from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday at Waimea Baptist Church; the service will be at 11 a.m.
Casual attire is suggested, and no flowers.
Arrangements are being handled by Garden Island Mortuary.
