The state Department of Transportation will be holding public informational meetings statewide to discuss and solicit comments on the Draft Statewide Transportation Improvement Program for fiscal years 2008-2011. Public participation is encouraged in these meetings, as comments received will help to guide the finalization of the STIP.

Bush on Aug. 10, 2005, the STIP is now a four-year programming implementation document that identifies state and county transportation projects to be funded, in part, with Federal Highway and Transit funds.
Copies of the Draft STIP Fiscal Years 2008-2011 are available for public review and comment and may be obtained by calling 587-6355 or on-line at www.hawaii.gov/dot/stp/stip.
