Marissa Agena and Stephanie Kawamura were totally enjoying their post-graduation. The pair of Kapa‘a grads were recovering from Project Graduation in Wal-Mart.
Marissa (she was helping at the Taste of Hawai‘i, Sunday, too) was one of the Warrior valedictorians along with Kelli Okamoto who was also helping at Smith’s Tropical Paradise.
Ella Arume caused some raised eyebrows over what she was wearing under her white gown, and Elizabeth Blaylock should have been with Ed Ka‘ahea and the Palolo chickens with her nene who thought it was a chicken.
Michael Brewer has been everywhere pulling in awards. Matthew Hanley, Camden Lorenz and Michelle Sone round out the Kapa‘a top students.
Hats off to all the Rotary Club of Kapa‘a members on a great “Taste of Hawai‘i!” Aaron Furugen was working hard even if he had all those “helpers” since Blizzard Shave Ice (Best Shave Ice?) is the cat’s meow in all that heat.
Another round of kudos to Todd Brooks, Donna Caberto, Wynson and Michelle Rapacon for doing a great job with the first big rig expo … even got to see Chala Vidinha coming to get results for Monday’s newscast on KUAI where he was filling in for Reggie Deroos.
Speaking of personalities, Ron Wiley got gubernatorial parking at the “Taste,” and Dickie Chang just watched as Bruce Smalling pulled off his “high cam” technique with the opening surge of people. David Bice got help from his little tape recorder, and even Carol Yotsuda was checking out the place with a news hound.
OK, ‘nuff said…it’s robotics time at Kukui Grove!
