Swim Kaua‘i Aquatics will be sending 11 swimmers to participate in the 2007 USA Swimming Hawaiian Long Course State Championships.
The event, held at the Veterans Memorial Aquatics Center on O‘ahu, will run June 7-10. SKA swimmers will be participating in 56 individual events and five relay events.
Kaua‘i swimmers, including the two that will represent the Mokihana Aquatics program, represent the only athletes attending the meet who do not train in a long course pool.
“This is a tremendous accomplishment and a true testament to the hard work and commitment of Kaua‘i swimmers,” said SKA Head Coach Greg Davis, in a press release.
“SKA has come a long way since last summer. The numbers speak for themselves. I am very proud of these swimmers and the entire SKA program of 60 swimmers and their parents,” Davis said.
Qualifying SKA swimmers include Ryann Linthicum, Anya Littlefield, Emma Rausch, Sarah Faraola, Nina Albano, Matt Ross, Meaghan Sims, Tyson Chihara, Julian Schneider, Russel McCluskey and Alanna Reynolds.
