Bridge club wrap-up

The Sunrise Duplicate Bridge Club plays each Thursday at the Church of the Pacific Hall in Princeville at 9 a.m. The club welcomes visitors and part-time vacationers. For playing partners or information, call Barbara Adair at 826-5115.

Results for the Thursday, four table, 14 player event were: First, Charlie Herbert and Rob Van Ekeren; Second, Ann and Joe Williams.

The ACBL-sanctioned Sunset Duplicate Bridge Club plays each Saturday (open game) at the Church of the Pacific Hall in Princeville at 1 p.m. This long-established club conducts friendly and competitive play for all island players. For playing partners or information, call Barbara Adair at 826-5115.

Results for the Saturday, six table, 22 player event were: First, Ann and Joe Williams; Second, JoAnne and Bill Georgi.

Members of and visitors to the Poalua and North Shore Duplicate Bridge Clubs play every Thursday at Sun Village behind Wilcox Memorial Hospital at 9 a.m.

This is the oldest bridge club on the island, and visitors are always welcome to play. To find a partner or for more information, call Jane Nearing Go at 826-9753, or Betty Moore at 245-1994.

Winners for the 24 player Howell-Movement game Thursday were: First, Pat Burgess and Loukas Fytros; Second, Jane Nearing Go and Betty Moore; Third, Jim and Coleen Lawshe.

The winners of the April 26, 28 Player Mitchell-Movement game were: North/South — First, Lil Riley and Deborah Byrnes; Second, Dick Shen and Earl Reeve.

East/West — First, Loukas Fytros and Pat Burgess; Second, Coleen and Jim Lawshe.
