Tuesday, May 1, is Lei Day in Hawai‘i. Generations of locals and visitors have enjoyed May Day as Lei Day in Hawai’i. The Kaua’i Museum invites you to smell and view the incredible gifts nature provides for us.
This is the 27th year that the Kaua’i Museum is hosting a May Day celebration, including a lei contest and exhibit, a craft fair with Hawai’i made products, food vendors, entertainment, a white elephant sale, and both a silent and live auction of the lei to benefit the Kaua’i Museum’s Educational Scholarship fund.
Lei will be accepted for judging beginning at 7 a.m. on Tuesday, with the exhibit opening at 11 a.m. Winners will be announced at 1 p.m., the silent auction closes at 3 p.m., and the live auction follows at 4 p.m. Crafts, white elephant sale, and food will be available from 9 a.m.
