Rebecca Ann Bishop of Bastrop, Texas, and Lewis Edwin Bowen of Austin, Texas, recently announced their engagement.
Rebecca is the daughter of Clifford and Mary Bishop of Nashville, Ill. Lewis is the son of Ed and Priscilla Bigno Bowen of Dallas, Texas (formerly of Kaumakani). He is the grandson of Felipe and Carol Bigno of ‘Ele‘ele.
Rebecca graduated from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale in 2001 with a B.A. in microbiology. She is currently working towards her Ph.D. in molecular carcinogenesis at the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center Science Park Research Division in Smithville, Texas.
Lewis graduated from the University of Kansas in 2001 with a B.S. in psychology and from The University of Texas at Dallas in December 2006 with a B.A. in Biology.
The couple will exchange vows on Oct. 6, at Bastrop Christian Church in Bastrop, Texas. After a honeymoon trip to Stowe, Vermont, the couple will reside in Bastrop.
