Alan Fujiura
Alan Minoru “Pato” Fujiura of Lihu‘e, died at Hale Kupuna Heritage Home on April 4, 2007, at the age of 69.
Born in Koloa on March 24, 1938, he was a retired field supervisor with Lihu‘e Sugar Plantation, Ltd.; also a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
He is survived by son Scott (Heidi Jones) Fujiura of Maui; daughter Shari Fujiura of Lihu‘e; two grandchildren; brother Howard (Suzanne) Fujiura of Pearl City, O‘ahu; sisters Felice (Ralph) Iwanaga and Beverly (Randall) Okabe, both of Waipahu, O‘ahu; ex-wife Mary Fujiura; numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services were private. Arrangements are being handled by Garden Island Mortuary, Ltd.
Rosalia Pagtulingan
Rosalia “Sally” Pagtulingan of Lihu‘e died in Las Vegas, Nev., on April 5, 2007, at the age of 73.
Born in Vintar, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, on Oct. 7, 1933, she was the retired owner of Kauai Gifts, Kauai Snacks and Sally’s Jewels.
She is survived by daughters Lily (Carlos) Giron of Las Vegas, Ruby (Doug) McMurren of Alaska and Arlene Reis of Honolulu; brothers Santiago Cadaoas, and Dennis Mabini; sisters Evelyn Johnston and Florencia Pascua; grandchildren, Desiree, Christopher, Dustin, Alexandra, Andrew; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, April 27, at Holy Cross Church with visitation from 9 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. and Mass celebrated at 11 a.m.
Burial will follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens.
Kauai Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home assisted the Pagtulingan family with arrangements.
