Agnes Kekihi Fuchigami died peacefully on April 11, 2007.
She was born on March 14, 1938, in Hanalei to Charles and Mary Fu. She graduated from Waimea High School in 1957, and moved to California to live with her uncle and aunt in 1958. On March 3, 1961, she married Thomas Isami Fuchigami Jr., and together they raised three children.
She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Cindy and David, Tommie and Christopher, son Billy, seven grandchildren, father Charles, and brothers and sisters Charles Jr., Douglas, Solomon, Lydia, Thelma and Calvin and their families.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, April 18, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Newhall 1st Ward, 24915 Peachland, Newhall, Calif.
John B. Rapozo IV
John Botelho Rapozo IV of Koloa died April 15, 2007, at the age of 22.
Born Oct. 10, 1984, in Waimea, he was with TSA at Lihu‘e Airport.
He is survived by son Keola Ilai Rapozo of Koloa; mother Carol (Larry) Pimental of Waimea; father John Rapozo IÎI of Hanapepe; fiancé Veronica Llego of Waimea; brother Kainalu Games; sister Nona Rapozo, grandfather John Rapozo Jr., grandmothers Mitsue Games and Yvonne Carineo; one niece and one nephew.
Friends may visit with the family from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, April 20, at Borthwick Kauai Mortuary. Friends may visit with the family again from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 21, at Kekaha Methodist Church, where services will be at 3:30 p.m.
Burial will be at Hanapepe Public Cemetery.
Casual attire is suggested. Arrangements are being handled by Borthwick Kauai Mortuary.
Loka Kaohelaulii
Loka Kenemaka Kumuwaina Kaohelaulii of Kekaha, died April 17, 2007, at Kauai Veterans Memoria Hospital at the age of 68.
She was born in Pu‘uwai, Ni‘ihau, on March 30, 1939.
She is survived by sons Marcelo (Debbie) Bustillos of Wailuku, Maui, Sam (Lotu) Bustillos of Kekaha, Joe (Michelle) Bustillos of Pa‘ia, Maui, and Lambert (Brenda) Kaohelaulii of Kahului, Maui; daughters Joann (Robert Sr.) Figaroa of Anahola, Connie (Kaimana) Castaneda of Kekaha, Hualani (Dave) Duncan of Hanapepe, Grace (Harry) Kala of Lihu‘e, and Ruth Kaohelaulii of Kekaha; 24 grandchildren 12 great-grandchildren; brother Ho‘okipa Kanahele of Makaweli; sisters Mileka Kanahele and Pua Crawford, both of Nanakuli, O‘ahu.
Friends may visit with the family from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday, April 27, at Garden Island Mortuary chapel where services will begin at 3 p.m.
Burial will be at Kekaha Hawaiian Cemetery.
Aloha attire is sugested. Arrangements are being handled by Garden Island Mortuary.
