On April 28, Kula Elementary, Intermediate and High will be hosting its annual fundraiser, “An Enchanted Evening: Feel the Rhythm.” The event will take place at the Princeville Hotel from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m. and will include wine and cheese tasting, live dinner stations, silent and live auctions, and dancing to the music of Maui’s hottest eight-piece salsa band, Dr. Nat & Rio Ritmo.
The community is invited to attend and experience this evening at one of Kauai’s premier resorts, while supporting the successful scholarship program at Kula Elementary, Intermediate and High.
“Your donation ensures that Kaua‘i’s deserving and diverse students have the option of a high quality, private education,” states Pamela Salibi, from Kula School, in a press release.
“During the 2006-2007 school year, we awarded over $182,000, thanks to the generosity of businesses and individuals who support the option of quality private education,” Salibi states in the release.
The school heavily depends on this event to raise money for their scholarship program, “Over 40 percent of our students are currently receiving tuition assistance,” she said.
“Kula is a non-profit, non-sectarian, independent school with a commitment to providing tuition assistance and scholarships, thus providing Kaua‘i’s students and their families an opportunity to attend a school with an integrated and challenging curriculum that awakens the intellectual, creative, spiritual and physical potential within each student. Our small class sizes ensure individualized attention from our experienced and dedicated faculty.” states www.kula.org. — the school’s Web site.
Ticket prices for the event are $100 per person. Corporate or individual VIP sponsorship tables of 10 are available.
