The public is invited to provide input on the proposed Kaua‘i County Four-Year Area Plan on Aging, which will serve as a blueprint for future aging programs and services.
The plan includes an overview of residents 60 years and older, results of a needs assessment, and proposed funding and services for the Agency on Elderly Affairs over the next four years.
Anyone interested in providing comment is encouraged to attend public informational meetings scheduled on the following dates and times:
• Tomorrow, 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. — Kalaheo Neighborhood Center
• Tomorrow, 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. — Lihu‘e Neighborhood Center
• Thursday, 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. — Kapa‘a Neighborhood Center
Comments may also be submitted in writing to the Agency on Elderly Affairs, 4444 Rice Street, Suite 330, Li¯hu‘e, Hawai‘i, 96766, by April 10.
The proposed area plan is available for review at the Agency on Elderly Affairs located at the Li¯hu‘e Civic Center, Pi‘ikoi Building, Suite 330. An abstract and draft of the plan can also be reviewed on the county Web site, www.kauai.gov.
