Kanani Thronas netted two goals to lead the Lihu‘e Tonadoes to a 3-2 edge in last week’s Kaua‘i Soccer Association games at the North Vidinha fields.
Helping Thronas, Kaiea Iwasaki added a goal to ice the win over KSC-Na Koa Kaulana in the Boys Under 12 division games.
Logan Frederickson and Jordan Towey did the scoring honors for KSC-Na Koa Kaulana.
The Tornadoes’ Sunday victory puts them in a tie with KSC-Na Koa Kaulana in the BU12 division standings, both teams sporting 1-4-1 records for 4 points.
The Lihu‘e Cougars in the BU12 division swept their weekend series, taking KSC-Na Koa Kaulana 4-1 Saturday before shutting down the Eastside Galaxy 3-0 in an exciting matchup Sunday.
The weekend sweep gives the Cougars a 7-0-0 undefeated season to date for 21 points in the standings.
The Westside Falcons (BU12) have a 3-1-1 record for 10 points in second place followed by the Eastside Galaxy emerging with a 2-4-1 record and 7 points for third place.
In the BU8 division, the Westside Falcons share the same 7-0-0 record for 21 points, the only two teams in the league with 21 points.
