Kan Yin Chang of Kapa‘a died on March 24, 2007, at the age of 73.
Born in Lihu‘e on Sept. 21, 1933, he retired from Garden Island Motors (Mid Pac Auto) as a sales representative in the auto parts department.
He is survived by his wife Doris Chang; sons Clyde (Vanessa) Chang, Frederick (Bea) Chang, Patrick Chang, and Robert (Kim) Rumion; daughters Darlene (Mike) Hatakeyama, Sharlene Rumion, and Michelle Colley; siblings Esther Pang, Bessie (Dan) Pang, Kan Chong (Beverly) Chang, Kim Moi Chang, Yuki (Hiroki) Hashimura, Kan Kim (Patsy) Chang, and Kim Look Chang; seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceded in death by siblings Robert Chang, Mary Andrews, Kan Yau Chang, and Kan Hing Chang.
Services will be held on Friday, March 30, at Immaculate Conception Church with visitation from 9 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. and Mass celebrated at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens.
Kauai Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home assisted the Chang family with arrangements.
