Going to the mall during lunch hour can be a blast … Tom Tannery was there and was nice to chat about that pool we’re all going to enjoy one day. Over at Kim Chee 9, it was nice to see retired judge George Matsuoka enjoying his retirement and even judge Trudy Senda got a chance to grind … Moana DeSilva had no work that day so there was the “Mom’s Club” with the little keiki.
Speaking of Kim Chee 9, Janice and Leonard Ringor were having their weekly Friday night dinner amidst all those martial arts fighters who crowded the food court area for the weigh-in.
And congratulations to Warren Perry and the Royal Order of Kamehameha I and Na Wahine Hui O Kamehameha for another great Prince Kuhio service … Yuko Hamada of Hawai‘i Tourism Japan got to check it out in person, and Raymond Sebastian Hokulele Balles of Auburn, Wash., got to wear a mini version of the Hawaiian formal wear to present the ho‘okupu — mosquito bites and all. And the contribution of cold drinks (non-alcoholic) and cake was a perfect addition to the post-ceremony luncheon, mahalo to Dick Holtzman and the Kukui‘ula Development ‘ohana.
Happy Prince Kuhio Day, Kaua‘i! Stay safe!
