OK, before you do anything, go visit Warren Perry and his ‘ohana at the Prince Kuhio services … Aunty Janet Kahalekomo will have her entourage there, and when that’s over, check out Aunty Stella Burgess and the Grand Hyatt Regency Kaua‘i ‘ohana and its Prince Kuhio festivities. If you get lucky, you might run into Diann Hartman, the resort’s new PR lady.
Meanwhile, congratulations to Catherine Stovall, William Trujillo, Mayor Bryan Baptiste, and all those helpers on a great Ka Leo celebration Tuesday night … it was so good, there was even a reunion between Kelvin Moniz and Judy Lenthall.
Laurie Ho is always at one of those meetings moderating and facilitating, and she was helping with the community response tables.
It was also a good place to get the latest news … Helena Cooney is trying to organize a Westside Kiwanis Club so Waimea High School can get a Key Club … don’t forget the French Toast breakfast coming up April 29 at Wilcox School. Charlene Navarro and the Kaua‘i High School Key Clubbers might have tickets left if you need some.
Sandi and Phil Sterker were there and said the North Shore Lions Pancake Breakfast is coming up April 15 at the Hanalei School cafeteria … this one is good … Gary Pacheco will be there along with Wayne Tanji and those special pancakes! Janice Bond even remembers when the Camper made the trip out there.
