Kahale Fagarang and Jason Iloreta each netted 16 points to lead Laukona to a 72-37 win over Island Athletics Saturday at the Kaua‘i High School gym.
Todd Hirano and Brandon Taylor led the Athletics’ effort with 9 and 7 points, respectively.
Makana Ladesma and Dallas Correa each finished with 6 points in the effort at the county’s 14 and Under boys basketball games.
In Game 1, Allen Bolante finished with 10 points to lead the Lihu‘e Lakers to a 34-31 edge over Wailua who got 9 points from Kahea Prem.
Ace Difontorum and Ken Ancajas added 6 and 5 points, respectively, in the Lakers’ win while Mark Hatchell and Vincent Simon each scored 6 points to add to Prem’s effort.
Jude Cruz ended with 5 points for Wailua.
Duke Pauli ended with a game-high 16 points to lead Team Central to a 53-17 win over Kaulupono in Game 2.
Pauli’s lead was followed by Keane Agoot and Cody Iwasaki adding 15 and 12 points, respectively.
Austin Kenney topped Kaulupono’s effort with 6 points followed by Ariel Lahip and Neil Magayanes adding 4 and 3 points, respectively.
